Rain Forest Necklace

SOLD Making this necklace was such a pleasure as I sorted through countless pieces of polished stone to find matched pairs and then laid them out in graduated colors. Doing this is not only unusual but time consuming and, for me, fun! It made me think of the beautiful shades of all the things that I saw
growing in the rain forest of southern Belize...ferns, mosses, fungi,
mushrooms, palms and more. At a generous length of 32 inches, this could be worn with a sweater, blouse or doubled if you have a shortener to clasp it with. It would look lovely layered with other chains but this piece definitely needs no compliment as it stands on it's own as a work of art. This necklace has no clasp as it made in the classic over the head style. 3 polished freeform nuggets of carnelian and 6 soo chow jade 10 mm rounds are evenly spaced between the graduated color brazilian kunzites. This necklace is entirely wound with Argentium Sterling Silver which resists tarnishing more than regular sterling. This is because argentium is alloyed with germanium as part of the mix. You can find out more about argentium on the internet. It is wonderful and more and more of my pieces are made with it now.
I think this is the most beautiful long necklace I have ever created and believe me, I was so tempted to keep it but how much jewelry can a girl have? So, you get the benefit of owning this incredible creation. I have taken many photos so that you can get a sense of the beauty of the colors. Of course, nothing beats seeing the real thing. I know you will be pleased. SOLD
